RIP Kix

We lost a good horse this year.  Our neighbor was walking past with her dog.  They weren't even near our house when the dog scared up a pheasant.  The pheasant flew right at our horses.  Lucky just looked at it like what was that.  Kix freaked out and tried to jump the fence.  He got his feet caught in the wire and landed on his shoulder and broke it.  We had to have him put down unfortunately.  It is sad to lose such a good horse, but at least he didn't suffer.  We took some pictures of the boys riding him a couple of weeks before the accident.
